3. General information

We would like to explain our philosophy regarding the handling of personal data that you transmit to us when you visit our website, as well as provide some basic information on data protection. We respect the data protection rights of every individual. Our services comply with the legal data protection provisions set out in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the new German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG-neu), the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and the German Act against Unfair Competition (UWG).

When you visit our website, we automatically record various information in the respective server log files. This includes, for example, the type and version number of your web browser, the operating system you are using, information about your internet provider and other similar information. This information is generated by the system when you use the Internet and is therefore technically essential to ensure the proper operation of a website. This anonymous information may be used by us in the context of statistical evaluations to optimize our website.

4. Data storage, data use and data security

Below is an overview of the data we may collect:

  • Non-identified and non-identifiable information that you provide during the registration process or that is collected through the use of our services ("non-personal data"). Non-personal information does not allow us to identify who collected it. Non-personal data that we collect consists mainly of technical and aggregated usage information.

  • Individually identifiable information, i.e. any information by which you can be identified or could reasonably be identified ("personal data"). Personal Data that we collect through our Services may include information that is requested from time to time, such as names, email addresses, addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses and more. If we combine personal data with non-personal data, we will treat it as personal data for as long as it is combined.

5. Cookies

As part of the continuous improvement of the offer for our users, further tracking technologies may be used by third-party providers and us, which use anonymized and temporary "session cookies" as well as "persistent cookies". Cookies are usually small text files that a web server transfers to your device when you visit a website.

"Session cookies" (temporary cookies) are not stored permanently on the device you use to visit our website and disappear when you close your browser. These cookies may contain information about the browser you are using, the screen resolution, the operating system you are using and other individual information. These cookies can therefore also be used to make it easier for you to navigate our website and/or to ensure the correct display on the respective website.

"Persistent cookies" or "permanent cookies", on the other hand, store anonymous information on the respective device and remain available even after the browser is closed. Each of these cookies is provided with a corresponding "expiry" / validity date, on which this cookie is then automatically deleted. The purpose of using these cookies is, among other things, to compile anonymous statistics on the use of our website. The statistics can be used, among other things, to identify where we need to optimize our web pages to make them easier for you to use.

Both types of cookie are anonymous. No individual profile is created about your usage behavior. Of course, you can also use our website without cookies by disabling them in your browser. Please refer to the help section of your browser to find out how to deactivate cookies. Please note that deactivating cookies may result in display and navigation problems.

Important for you: The data we collect in the cookies will not be passed on to third parties or linked to your personal data without your consent. It is also not possible or intended for third-party providers to identify you personally using the data collected in the cookies.

6. Rights of the data subjects

You can withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. This also applies to the revocation of declarations of consent given to us before the GDPR came into force, i.e. before May 25, 2018. Please note that the revocation only takes effect for the future. Processing that took place before the withdrawal is not affected.
